Tarmac ribbons criss-crossing the landscape, dusty back roads twisting between the cool shadows of ancient pines, and less traveled pathways connecting present to past, all I wander, seeking, seeing, with my keyboard and camera capturing scenes and stories to share with you.

Now in its sixth year, this venue has become an important part of my life, a place where I can express my thoughts and feelings about the things I see and do, hoping the process brings me a bit closer to friends and family who enjoy sharing my sometimes chaotic and often nonlinear observations and ideas. A journal, I suppose, but one with which I find pleasure in thinking others are alongside me on my journey.

A LITTLE VISIT TO MT. VERNON

... i was wandering out mt. vernon way and i stopped in to say hi to c.j. and jane ... after a refreshing dip in the lake i explored the bushes along the road ...

... these're the same berries ... some were blue, some green, and some white ... i've no idea what they are ... the blue ones looked good enough to eat, but, as per my lack of knowledge of proper plant nomenclature, i decided to refrain from trying them ...

... i know that pretty flowers grow from these plants, but, again, i've no idea of what they are called  ...

... a weed, i think ...

... these are very, very tiny ...

... c.j. was doing some work with his tractor ... i remember how when we were in the service he so enjoyed tooling around in the humongous yellow tow vehicles that were our toys ...

... gloves, a study ...

... one of the things i like at seeing at their house, a car plugged into an electric outlet ...
