Tarmac ribbons criss-crossing the landscape, dusty back roads twisting between the cool shadows of ancient pines, and less traveled pathways connecting present to past, all I wander, seeking, seeing, with my keyboard and camera capturing scenes and stories to share with you.

Now in its fifth year, this venue has become an important part of my life, a place where I can express my thoughts and feelings about the things I see and do, hoping the process brings me a bit closer to friends and family who enjoy sharing my sometimes chaotic and often nonlinear observations and ideas. A journal, I suppose, but one with which I find pleasure in thinking others are alongside me on my journey.

LAST TWO-WHEEL WANDERABOUT FOR THIS YEAR

... autumn ending, i drove my car down to "the green bean" coffee shop in china to offer up "4th birthday" congratulations to nancy, the owner ... i then wandered around china lake for awhile ...

... along the side of the road i found these weird plants ...

... i don't know what they are, any clues ... ??? ...

... knowing i was suffering withdrawal, roger offered up a plan for the predicted-to-be-great weather on tuesday, a cruise along the coast over to acadia park to drive to the top of cadillac mountain ... those of you who know roger's aversion to having his picture taking will probably agree this is a good one ...

... near the 45th parallel, even in mid-afternoon the sun is low on the horizon, so our poses were less vanity and more the result of not wanting to squint ... this time of year we shared the top of the mountain with only a handful of others ...

... this crow and i enjoyed a wonderful conversation, from my point of view we became great friends ...

... we spent a bit too long on the mountain, by the time we got back to waterville it was dark and the temperature was 50°f ...
