WAITING FOR SPRING

... descending softly a late afternoon ice fog, at the moment our spring ...


... i took a little stroll over to the community market, since i know apples're never anything by cheery ...


... at c.j. and jane's the cold temperatures are fighting the barn's effort to shed it's winter covering ...


... i walked the length of mt. vernon, all several hundred yards of it, only to very sadly learn that the post office cafe didn't have any raspberry pie ...


... at the side of the road atop the chest-high bank of ice and dirt encrusted snow i spotted this little clump ... "resistance is futile," said the warmth of the spring sun, but, at least in the moment of my passing, its delicate balancing act was another sign of a winter going long ... 


... sometimes, often, i guess, i just see things ...
