... i snapped these pictures using my fuji x-t1 and a thirty-year old zuiko manual focus 50mm f/1.4 lens ... i am constantly amazed to hear contemporary techno-geeky photographers remarking, "oh, such-and-such is a good camera except for the noise level in images taken at extremeliy high i.s.o. values" ... i wish they would try picture taking with a roll of kodak ektachrome 160 color transparency film, very expensively boost-processed to i.s.o. 320 ... with the same lens on an olympus om-1 film camera loaded with ektachrome i don't think it would have been possible to take these photographs ... "noise level" ... well, to paraphrase henri cartier-bressen, who remains the gold standard for this type of photography, "worry about taking a great picture, after that everything else'll fall into place" ...
