SPRING

... john and i did a little wanderabouting along the messalonskee stream's oxbow ... located almost in the center of the city, now a place of quiet tranquility, the dam and powerhouse are all the remains of a time when this was the center of great industrial energy ...

... this using my 24mm wide angle, i'm curious as to how john saw it through his super-duper 100-400mm ...

... of the trio of tamron's new glass, i was pleased to discover that the lens has excellent close-focusing capability ... here, spring, elemental ...

... perhaps fifty-sixty years old, for sure not as aged as most would think, still from its branches echo whispers of its ancient brethren ...

... interesting, that john had never been in waterville's "alley" ... we came across two busy taggers who were adorning the city with their art ...

... it was fascinating to watch them paint on the concrete canvas with their spray can brushes ...

... david and bruce, if i recall correctly ... maybe ... okay, i'm going to have to check with john ... they were most entertaining fellows ...

... roger and i strolled the colby woods ... this is a little zone system exercise ... if you don't know what that is, hmmmm, perhaps the name ansel adams rings a bell ... ??? ...

... asymmetric symmetry ... ??? ... is there such ...

... photography can be about touch, too ...

... with the glare of the sun and the edge of the frame being rather busy, i wasn't sure i could manage this ...

... i'll close with some abstract fun ... i must give credit, i could not find the name of the artist, but the base image was an apple screen saver picture ... eight different copies, modified and layered, and then a half-hour in which i did a bunch of stuff ... i like it ...

... in these times, with all the turmoil and uncertainty and trauma about us, it is especially important that we remember to see ...

... and to share ...
