SPRING IS HERE - SNOW TOMORROW

... two way cool guys styling with their "corrona hair" ...

COURTESY JOHN MEADER
... no particular plot or direction to this album, just a bit of springtime wanderabouting ... across the street from my apartment in castonguay square a city worker cleaned the city hall steps ... when finished he coiled the hose so that draped over his shoulder just the right length to not brush against the pavement as he carried it away ... i liked seeing that ...

... john and i stopped to watch the canada geese cruising the mesalonskee stream ... i sat on a dock and played with the water ... it was quite cool, but not so that i couldn't think how nice it would be to take a dip ...

... perhaps it's the social distancing thing, or, equally likely, this is perfectly normal springtime behavior ... either way, seeing someone sitting on their porch reading a book reminds me of life in the cayman islands before it became one of the world's money pots ...

... with his super-duper lens john couldn't get the power lines out of his frame (or, better stated, to do so using that lens he would've had to step back a couple of miles) ... i decided to give a go with my 85mm, not bothering to worry about the lines ...

... i admit, i saw because john stopped ...

... looking out from the store we wondered, "why're they sitting in the middle of the parking lot" ... i wandered over and asked, "why're you sitting in the middle of the parking lot" ... turned out that they were tired of cooking and came down to pick up a lunch at the "last unicorn" cafe ... tailgating below my window, how cool ... later the owner of the restaurant came out and gifted them desert out of admiration of their spirit  ... i think the treat was well-deserved ...

... in a few days it'll be "super" ...

... zone system, more practice ...

... one of my first memories, wondering why the rails got closer in the distance ... ma said once she found i was missing from the house ... after quite a bit of frantic searching i was found wandering between the steel parallel towards providence ... i think i was trying to find where they finally came together ... i was five years old ... i'm still looking ...

... city hall, 'nuff said ...

... some ladies, i think they were "social distancing," but for sure they were social-socializing ...

... beneath the wire bridge, a monster beaver, perhaps a mutant result of some weird chemicals the toilet paper mill once dumped into the river ...

... in the duck world preening in public is a manly thing ...

... john wiley, way cool guy, my friend, inspiration ...

... spring is here ... forecast is for 1-3" of snow on saturday ...

... maine, spring, snow, ya's gotta love it ...
