WANDERING ALASKA - DAY 4

... for those who have wondered, i am taking a lot of pictures, but with a relatively low internet upload speed at the dimond hotel (which, by the way, is a most excellent place to stay) i'm limiting my posts until i get home ...

... today on our drive to the homer spit we stopped to stand atop the unstable edge of a hundred-foot high cliff where in absolute awe we gazed across cook inlet to a primeval shore punctuated with the glaciated cones of four volcanoes ...

... $90,000 for the lot, we all decided that even though it is very likely another tectonic event like the good friday earthquake might shake the entire bluff into the sea, still we would like to purchase the land and build a little getaway place where we could visit every now and then simply to enjoy the view ...

... alaska, so much to see, but just for this vista it was worth the trip ...
