... my motorcycle and i wandered down mt. vernon way, where jane and carl kindly invited me to supper ... despite a rather intense thunder squall we enjoyed a nice barbecue, after which alex and dale entertained us with a fireworks show ... first part of the display was a bit rocky, especially when one of the giant rocket things exploded on the launch pad, but after that it was noisy great fun ...
